Area Manager

THE MISSION

The Area Manager is expected to:

·         To plan, implement and control GLEAMNS activities involving grants and program operations serving the welfare of residents in fourteen counties.

A SNAPSHOT OF EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO:

Allocation of Time for all Items 1-13: LIHEAP 100%

 

·         Assist in monitoring DBA FACSPro System to ensure data entry accuracy on a weekly basis for all CSBG and LIHEAP projects.  Reports delinquencies to the Program Director.

·         Participate in the Agency’s internal monitoring of CSBG and LIHEAP files to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Report issues of non-compliance to Program Director Represent the agency within the community, attend meetings, and speak at functions, etc., to communicate Community Service’s purposes.

·         Keep current on state requirements and communicate changes to staff. 

·         Represent the agency within the community, attend meetings, speak at functions, etc., to community LIHEAP’s Program purpose and progress, and to be an advocate for clients and programs.  

·         Answer customer questions concerning CSBG and LIHEAP program services.

·         Assist all staff in the absence of the Assistant Program Director and Program Director.

·         Attend all SC ROMA state meetings for CSBG and LIHEAP.

·         Participate in training(s) provided by the agency, OEO, South Carolina State Association, and/or other entities for personal and professional development.

·         Assist in new hire training according to CSBG and LIHEAP administrative guidelines.

·         Perform administrative duties and keep accurate documentation of all services provided to clients.

·         Provide training to staff on the DBA FACSPRO Data Base Management System, CSBG and LIHEAP administrative programmatic guidelines, and vendor(s) utility bill calculations.

·         Participate in the annual compilation of information for the tri-annual Community Needs Assessment.

·         Perform other duties as required.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:

·         Bachelor’s degree in social services or a combination of education and experience and administrative experience within a social services agency setting. 

·         Two to Three years management experience in a community-based services program. 

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

·         Office environment

·         Travel, in and out of state, may be required.

·         Training and continuing professional development, as required.

 

SCOPE OF WORK AND ACCOUNABILITY

For the overall development, plan and direction of GLEAMNS activities, including CSBG/LIHEAP Programs, Program and Staff.

Requirements
